This book will make you aware of an era that is no more and the many stories Pierrette writes about growing up in Algiers before and during World War 2. Her parents who were wonderful people , the neighbors and there are many who are funny and touching. The cafe , the customers and most of all her great parents Salvador and her mother rose, I only wish I had met them. This book is a great read and I give Pierrette Lili Camps 5 Stars *****

Pierrette Lili Camps second book titled: " Grandmere's Awesome Family Cookbook," is chock full of recipes, very easy even for the first time cook. Her cover done by her daughter Pierrette , a beautiful watercolor worth buying the book alone. Her wit and stories and the photos of her great family makes you feel as if your apart of their family. In the end her grandson Blake Carroll writes a beautiful poem titled: " The Night Before Skiing," I can tell you there's going to be another writer in this family. This is one of the best cook books I've read , I give it 5 Stars*****
